There’s something especially exciting about watching a design come together, and this Newcastle remodel is one we’ve been having so much fun working on. We’re currently transforming both the kitchen and primary bathroom, with a focus on natural materials, custom details, and a mix of warm and dramatic finishes throughout.
The Kitchen
For the kitchen, we wanted to create a space that feels warm, timeless, and elevated, while still being incredibly functional for everyday life.
We’re incorporating custom white oak cabinetry throughout, paired with beautiful marble countertops and matte black plumbing fixtures. The natural warmth of the white oak helps soften the marble and black finishes, giving the kitchen a really beautiful balance of organic and modern elements.
One of the biggest focal points will be the custom black-stained range hood above an impressive 60-inch range. The dark hood creates a dramatic contrast against the lighter cabinetry and marble, while helping anchor the entire kitchen.
We’re also incorporating a 42-inch paneled refrigerator so it blends seamlessly into the surrounding cabinetry. And because we love finding ways to make a kitchen both beautiful and functional, we designed a custom appliance garage to keep small appliances easily accessible but hidden away when they aren’t being used. Less visual clutter on the countertops is always a win!

The Primary Bathroom
The primary bathroom is getting an equally dramatic transformation, and it may be one of my favorite parts of this project.
One of the main features is the bathtub area, where the tub will sit on a custom marble platform. Behind it, we’re adding a marble fireplace surround and finishing the space with a modern crystal chandelier overhead. The combination of wood, marble, and crystal adds so much texture and warmth while still making the room feel luxurious.
The shower is being transformed into a full steam shower clad in marble tile, creating the perfect place to relax at the end of the day. To contrast all of the lighter marble and natural materials, we landed on a black large format tile floor throughout the bathroom for a more dramatic look.
