Our latest vacation rental project took us down south to Houston, Texas! Our clients wanted an upscale, themed home that would stand out among the sea of other vacation listings. Together, we came up with the idea of a “museum” concept—where each room feels like a different exhibit. Guests can explore an art gallery, a dinosaur room, a butterfly room, and a flower/garden room. This was hands-down one of our most playful and creative projects to date, and we’re so excited to finally share it!

Living Room:We designed this space to feel like the museum’s "waiting area," with cozy touches and comfortable furniture that invite guests to settle in. Subtle nods to history and art are woven throughout the room, setting the tone for the exhibits to come—without going over the top.

Dining Room:

Inspired by an art gallery, the dining room adds visual interest with curated statement pieces and bold decor. It's a conversation-starter in its own right and makes for a fun, engaging backdrop for group meals and gatherings.

Dinosaur Room:

This one’s been a major guest favorite! We installed a dinosaur mural wallpaper that instantly transforms the room. It strikes the perfect balance—whimsical and vacation-ready, but still elegant enough to feel elevated.

Butterfly Room:

This room fully embraces its theme with butterfly wall decals that make you feel like you’ve stepped into a whimsical exhibit. Mustard and rust-colored drapery—reminiscent of a monarch’s wings—add a warm, earthy contrast and bring the space to life.

Solarium:

With botanical artwork and rich jewel tones, this room is designed to feel like a lush indoor garden. The immersive colors and textures help guests feel wrapped in the calm and charm of a true solarium. It’s another guest favorite—and it’s easy to see why!
